The New DaleŽ BridleT (Anti-Disconnect)

PLAINVILLE, MA, JANUARY 2003 - The new DaleŽ BridleT effectively secures breathing circuits to the tracheostomy tube following tracheostomy procedures. The Bridle fits all tracheostomy tubes and connects easily to elbow, straight or swivel adapters. It can also be used to connect closed tracheal suction systems to tracheostomy tubes.

"The Dale Bridle standardizes a method of securement that many nurses once had to improvise," says Dale President, John Brezack. "But while nurses often used latex rubber bands to secure a tracheostomy tube, the Dale Bridle contains no latex, so it won't break down, snap, or cause trauma to the stoma site. The Bridle provides a secure connection using VelcroŽ closures and can be left in place for an extended time."

The Bridle does not impair swiveling at the trach plate or at the adapter site and is designed to work with any current tracheostomy tube holder securement system. For maximum security, the Dale Tracheostomy Tube Holder is recommended.

The Bridle's VelcroŽ closure allows for quick disconnection for cleaning or rapid access to the tracheostomy tube in an emergency. It is treated with a waterproof, fungus resistant laminate.
