Plainville, MA----A new surgical stretch material recently incorporated in the Dale Foley Catheter Holder now allows the clinician to fasten the Velcro closure at any point on the legband. More versatile, the newly improved legband will adjust to fit any patient, regardless of size. It will stay in place on even the skinniest of legs, in all activities. This new feature simplifies the fitting task of the clinician and improves the wearing comfort for the patient.
The new Foley Catheter Holder was developed to stabilize the indwelling catheter without restricting the patient's movements. The patented Velcro locking device holds the catheter securely in place to prevent patient tampering, minimize meatal irritation, reduce the possibility of urinary tract infection, and to implement catheter traction if desired. Added benefits include the elimination of shaving the skin breakdown often associated with the use of adhesive tape.
